Sales plan & inventory
Ask ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini or Grok for last year’s Cyber Week sales by SKU and channel, current stock and sell-through, then draft the forecast and allocation from live Acenda data instead of exports.
Pick priority SKUs on demand, margin, stock depth and fulfillment reliability
Not every bestseller should be a Cyber Monday hero.
Forecast units by SKU and marketplace — base case and a high-demand case
Reserve safety stock for the upside scenario.
Allocate shared inventory across channels to prevent overselling
Avoid promoting your hero SKU on three marketplaces at once.
Confirm replenishment dates and fulfillment-center receiving deadlines
Count stock as ready only when it is available to sell.
Confirm which warehouses/3PLs feed each channel
Stock in a location not mapped to the channel reads as zero.
Identify backup products to promote if bestsellers run low
Have the second wave listed and priced before you need it.
Meet marketplace fulfillment-center inbound cutoffs (FBA/AWD, WFS)
Inbound windows close in October; late freight misses Cyber Week placement.
Keep merchant-fulfilled backup stock if FBA or WFS runs dry mid-event
A second fulfillment path keeps the listing buyable.
Add Q4 peak fulfillment surcharges to unit-level margin
Peak fees run mid-October through January on most programs.
Audit GTINs, FNSKUs and master-carton labels before shipping inbound
Label errors strand inventory at the receiving dock.
8–6 weeks out
Catalog & listings
Audit every active SKU for required attributes on each channel
Missing or invalid attributes are the top cause of holiday delistings.
Confirm UPCs/GTINs on every sellable variant, including bundles and gift sets
New bundles created for Cyber Monday need their own identifiers.
Resolve suppressed, unpublished or miscategorized listings
Backlogs compound once holiday review queues lengthen.
Refresh main images and fill all image slots
Many retailers reject listings with a single image during peak review.
Confirm variant families (size/color) are complete and distinct
Missing sizes mid-grid read as broken listings to shoppers.
Address recurring questions and return reasons in product content
Fewer "wrong size" returns start with better copy.
Add holiday search terms to backend keywords, bullets and rich content — leave core titles alone
Seasonal phrasing lifts discovery without re-indexing the listing.
Upload and verify video, 360° and dimensional images on hero SKUs
Richer galleries convert better under peak traffic.
Hold the metrics behind visibility badges (Pro Seller, Prime, Choice)
Badges are earned on trailing performance — protect them now.
6–4 weeks out
Pricing & promotions
Confirm promotion eligibility, submission deadlines and event dates per marketplace
Deal submissions close weeks before the event.
Calculate margin after discount, fees, fulfillment, advertising and expected returns
Decide which deals are worth running before you submit them.
Schedule Cyber Monday prices with start/end timestamps per channel
Promotions should be scheduled, not keyed in on the day.
Check MAP/MSRP compliance and whether coupons and deals stack
Pricing violations can suspend a listing during the event.
Set price floors and repricing rules to protect margin
Automation should never take you below cost.
Assign someone to verify approved deals actually show to shoppers
Approved is not the same as live.
Keep reference prices (MSRP/List) honest and policy-compliant
Inflating October prices to show deeper November discounts gets badges pulled or listings suppressed.
Align promotional pricing across channels
Mismatched prices trigger price-match automation and lose featured placement.
4–2 weeks out
Fulfillment & shipping
Confirm each retailer’s peak ship-by SLA and order cut-offs
SLAs often tighten in Q4; late shipments hurt scorecards.
Confirm warehouse/3PL capacity, staffing and weekend coverage for peak daily orders
Your SLA is only as good as your partner’s capacity.
Pre-map carrier and service codes for every channel
Unrecognized carrier codes block tracking uploads.
Stage packaging, labels and packing-slip templates; arrange backup carrier pickups
Plain packaging rules apply on most department-store marketplaces.
Test order receipt, shipment confirmation, tracking, split shipments and partial cancellations end to end
Run one test order through every channel before volume arrives.
Set up order-exception alerts and name an owner
Someone has to watch the queue on Cyber Monday.
Set handling times that reflect carrier congestion but stay inside each channel’s on-time-delivery rules
Over-promise and you miss OTD; under-promise and you lose the sale.
2–1 weeks out
Advertising
Advertise only SKUs with stock depth, competitive offers, clean listings and healthy margin
Ads on a sold-out or suppressed listing waste the budget.
Confirm campaign eligibility, creative approvals, budgets and payment methods
Account funding failures pause campaigns mid-event.
Set spend limits and profitability targets per marketplace
Decide the number before the data is moving.
Define rules to cut spend when stock drops, delivery slows or offers lose competitiveness
Pre-agreed triggers beat judgment calls at 2 a.m.
Reserve budget for the full event window, not just the first hours
Cyber Monday traffic runs into Tuesday.
Scale daily budgets for the event window so campaigns don’t cap before afternoon peak
Budget caps hit hardest in the hours with the best conversion.
Prune non-converting terms; shift budget to exact-match winners and branded defense
Harvest before the event, not during.
Set up retargeting for Black Friday viewers who didn’t convert
The warmest audience you’ll have all year.
Refresh brand storefronts with seasonal themes, gift guides and deal bundles
Storefront traffic peaks the same week.
Before event week
Account health & integrations
Clear account warnings, verification requests and compliance flags
Open issues can escalate to suspension under peak scrutiny.
Check shipping, cancellation, tracking and service metrics per marketplace
Know where you are against each scorecard threshold.
Validate inventory, price and order sync across every connected system
Know the lag before a sellout, not after.
Set alerts for failed feeds, delayed orders, stale inventory and unexpected price changes
Silent failures are the expensive ones.
Confirm support contacts and escalation paths for marketplaces, integrators and 3PLs
Collect the phone numbers now.
Freeze non-essential system changes through the event; document recovery steps
Nothing new ships to production the week of.
AdvancedConnect to
Acenda’s API for bulk write updates to content, pricing and inventory
Script holiday title/keyword swaps, scheduled price changes and buffer adjustments across thousands of SKUs — and roll them back after the event — instead of editing by hand.
2 weeks – event
Returns, service & finance
Confirm holiday return windows and reason codes per channel
Extended windows are common; your policy must match the retailer’s.
Brief customer service on marketplace-specific policies and prepare delay/damage/cancellation responses
Where the customer returns (store vs. mail) differs by retailer.
Staff service coverage through the event and the days after
The returns surge starts the following week.
Set up settlement/payout reconciliation before the surge
Match payouts to orders while volume is still low.
Snapshot pre-event listing status and stock levels
You need a baseline to spot what broke.
48–72 hours out
Final launch check
Reconcile sellable inventory against warehouse and marketplace records
Last chance to catch a mapping gap.
Confirm priority listings, promotions, prices and delivery promises are correct on every channel
Check as a shopper, on mobile.
Recheck ad budgets and account funding
One declined card can stop everything.
Publish the coverage roster with named owners and backups
Everyone should know who decides what.
Set triggers for pausing ads, correcting prices or pulling inventory
Write them down; follow them.
Confirm no priority SKU has an unresolved issue blocking purchase or shipment
Zero open errors on hero SKUs.
Event day & after
Monitoring & follow-through
Monitor sales, margin, ad spend, stock and order backlog at agreed intervals
Hourly on the day; twice daily through the week.
Watch for suppressed listings, missing deals, lost featured placement and integration failures
Fix the listing before you fix the ad.
Escalate shipping delays and service backlogs early
Scorecards are forgiving of proactive sellers, not silent ones.
Reallocate spend toward products still profitable and in stock
Cut the sold-out campaigns first.
Verify promotions end correctly and prices return to intended levels
An expired deal that keeps running is a margin leak.
Track unshipped orders, refunds, returns and payouts through settlement
The event isn’t over until the money reconciles.
Review results by SKU and marketplace, net of ads and returns, and schedule next year’s fixes
Capture it while it’s fresh.

Most of this list is automatic on Acenda
Attribute audits, listing-error remediation, scheduled channel pricing, multi-warehouse buffers, carrier mapping, tracking push-back and order-level payout reconciliation all run inside Acenda. Listing Magic™ handles the catalog side; the platform covers the rest. The checklist still matters — it tells you what to confirm, and when. And with Acenda’s MCP server, your AI assistant can pull sales history, stock and order data straight from Acenda to build the forecast and watch the event in plain language.
