Bloomingdale's Marketplace fees: what to plan for

Quick answer

Bloomingdale's Marketplace fees align with industry-standard marketplace commission and referral structures, with exact commercial terms set by Bloomingdale's and confirmed during onboarding. Acenda's platform fee is separate (flat rate per channel, never a percentage of sales). Bloomingdale's pays sellers weekly through a J.P. Morgan payments account, which must be in place before you go live.

How do Bloomingdale's Marketplace fees work?

Bloomingdale's Marketplace fees align with industry-standard marketplace commission and referral structures, with exact commercial terms set by Bloomingdale's and confirmed during onboarding. Acenda's platform fee is separate (flat rate per channel, never a percentage of sales).

Bloomingdale's does not publish a public rate card. Macy's and Bloomingdale's set terms for their own marketplaces. Do not assume one retailer's contract describes the other.

How and when are sellers paid?

Selected brands set up a J.P. Morgan payments account. Payouts are weekly, and a brand cannot go live until that account is in place.

The weekly payment is settlement, not the fee itself. Refunds and adjustments can fall in a later payout, so finance still matches each payment to the orders behind it.

What other costs should sellers plan for?

You still pay to run the operation Bloomingdale's expects.

  • Shipping. Ship from a U.S. warehouse within 48 business hours with tracking, on an approved parcel carrier, or freight with prior approval.
  • Returns. Returns come back via UPS to your U.S. warehouse and should be processed within 2 business days. You also handle first-line customer service.
  • Images and catalog. Bloomingdale's has its own image requirements. Plan Bloomingdale's-specific images, category templates, and retailer-standard color and size values as catalog work.
