Bloomingdale's Marketplace requirements: what brands need
Quick answer
Bloomingdale's Marketplace uses the Macy's, Inc. marketplace program's seller requirements: a W-9 that matches IRS records, a U.S. tax ID, a U.S. bank account in USD, a domestic warehouse, a U.S. business address and phone, INFORM Consumers Act customer-service details, and a J.P. Morgan payments account before go-live. Every item needs a GS1-certified UPC, and orders ship within 48 business hours with tracking.

Where do Bloomingdale's requirements come from?
Bloomingdale's Marketplace is part of the Macy's, Inc. program, and the Macy's Marketplace partner site and FAQ cover both retailers. Bloomingdale's runs its own merchant review and assortment.
The header on that partner site reads “Partner with Macy's and Bloomingdale's.” Use it as the shared source, then confirm anything Bloomingdale's adds for its own shelf.
What business and account details are required?
- Tax. A valid W-9 whose first line matches IRS records, and a U.S. tax ID.
- Bank and address. A U.S. bank account in USD, plus a U.S. business address and phone.
- Warehouse. A domestic U.S. warehouse for outbound shipping and for returns.
- Customer service. An address and phone that meet the INFORM Consumers Act.
- Payments. A J.P. Morgan payments account before go-live. Payouts are weekly.
- Past vendors. A DUNS number if you have done business with Macy's or Bloomingdale's before.
What are the shipping and returns rules?
Ship within 48 business hours with valid tracking. Parcel carriers are UPS, FedEx, USPS, DHL, Lone Star Overnight (LSO), LaserShip, and OnTrac. Freight needs prior approval. Most items ship in non-branded brown-box packaging. Poly mailers are fine for small items. No other marketplace's branding and no promotional inserts.
Returns go back via UPS to a U.S. warehouse and should be processed within 2 business days. Shopper-facing return rules are on fulfillment and returns.
What does the catalog need?
Every item needs a GS1-certified UPC, category attribute templates, retailer-standard color and size values, and variant families with distinct combinations. Images must meet size minimums and link directly to the file. Bloomingdale's has its own image requirements, separate from Macy's.
The listing page owns that detail: Bloomingdale's listing requirements.
What slows brands down?
At application, the assortment is not a fit, the categories are ones the retailer already sells, or there is no U.S. entity or warehouse. At listing, images are too small or linked to a webpage, attributes are missing, color and size values are nonstandard, combinations repeat, UPCs are not GS1-certified, or stock is zero.
Requirements can change. Confirm current terms on the partner site FAQ and during onboarding.
