ERP integration for marketplaces and retail channels

Quick answer

An ERP integration with Acenda connects your ERP or accounting system to the marketplaces and retailers you sell on. Stock, catalog, and pricing updates can come into Acenda from your ERP, orders go out to the systems that fulfill them, and tracking returns to each channel. Our team sets up which data moves in which direction during onboarding.

What does an ERP integration with Acenda do?

Your ERP stays the record for what it already owns. Acenda does not replace your ERP or accounting system.

Acenda adds marketplace listings, channel rules, and order routing on top of that record. You decide the source of truth for each type of data during onboarding. For example, stock can stay in the ERP, product content can stay in a PIM, and channel listings can live in Acenda.

Warehouse and shipping connections are covered on the 3PL, warehouse, and shipping integrations page. Document exchange is covered on the EDI and drop-ship network integrations page.

How do ERPs connect to Acenda?

Outside systems connect in three ways. Which ones you use is set with our team during onboarding.

API. An outside system such as an ERP authenticates with a Client ID and Client Secret it gets from Acenda. That sign-in uses OAuth 2.0 client credentials. An Acenda admin creates the Client ID and Client Secret.

Scheduled file imports. Recurring Import reads a CSV or XLSX file from an SFTP server your team controls, on a schedule from every 15 minutes up. It can update catalog, stock by warehouse, channel item mapping, SKU aliases, promotions, custom pricing, or tracking. The Import and Export API automates the same updates.

Acenda supports X12 EDI (version 4010) over direct SFTP or AS2, or through EDI networks such as SPS Commerce and Orderful. EDI setup is done together with your Acenda team.

What moves between your ERP and Acenda?

Stock counts, catalog, pricing, and promotions can come into Acenda from your ERP, as configured. NetSuite is one of the inventory systems that can send stock counts into Acenda.

Acenda sends inventory to each channel on that channel's own schedule, not the instant stock changes, and holds back any Inventory Floor you set.

In Acenda, an order becomes one or more Ship Advices: one for each warehouse that ships part of it. Each Ship Advice carries the instructions that warehouse needs. An outside system retrieves new Ship Advices, acknowledges each one once it has stored it, and sends tracking back. Tracking is the carrier, the tracking number, and the ship date.

Which flows you turn on is agreed during onboarding.

Does an ERP integration cost extra?

Most integrations are part of Acenda's platform. Advanced ERPs such as NetSuite and SAP carry a one-time integration fee. Book a demo and we'll walk through the fees for your setup. Acenda's platform fee is a flat rate per channel, never a percentage of sales.

See Acenda's fees for the published fee line.

What if my ERP isn't listed?

If a system you rely on isn't connected yet, Acenda's engineering team can build the integration via API, XML, EDI, or flat file. You can also build to Acenda directly with the API.

ERP integration FAQ

Will Acenda take over my ERP's job?

No. Acenda doesn't replace your ERP or accounting system. It connects that system to your channels.

Can my ERP send stock to Acenda on a schedule?

Yes. Stock can come in through the API or a Recurring Import from SFTP. Acenda sends inventory to each channel on that channel's own schedule, not the instant stock changes, and holds back any Inventory Floor you set.

How do orders reach my ERP from Acenda?

In Acenda, an order becomes one or more Ship Advices: one for each warehouse that ships part of it. Each Ship Advice carries the instructions that warehouse needs. Your system retrieves new Ship Advices through the API, acknowledges each one, and sends tracking back.

Does connecting my ERP affect marketplace approval?

Connecting a system to Acenda doesn't affect whether a marketplace accepts your brand. Each retailer makes its own decision.
