What categories does Macy's Marketplace cover?

When Macy's launched its marketplace in September 2022, it named more than 20 product categories. The named examples were baby and children's apparel, beauty and wellness, electronics, gifting, home, maternity, pets, and toys and video games.

Macy's also said the marketplace offers an array of expertly curated products — from apparel and beauty to home improvement, toys, pet products, and more. The November 2021 announcement said the marketplace would expand Macy's assortment in existing categories and introduce new ones.

Macy's CEO said in 2026 that the curated marketplace is complementing and expanding the category and brand matrix. Macy's has not published a newer category list than the September 2022 launch set.

How do contract categories work?

Interested sellers fill out a questionnaire on the Macy's Marketplace partner site. Macy's selects sellers. Approved sellers sign a contract covering agreed categories.

You list only items within those contractually agreed categories. Approval for the brand is not approval for every aisle on macys.com.

Why can't I list what Macy's already sells?

Marketplace sellers can list only items not currently sold through Macy's own assortment. The marketplace is there to widen the shelf, not to repeat the products Macy's already buys and sells itself.

How to judge your own fit

These questions are Acenda's, not a Macy's checklist. Does your line fill a gap in Macy's own assortment? Can you meet the account, warehouse, and 48-hour shipping requirements?

The account checklist is on Macy's Marketplace requirements. If you want Acenda to introduce a qualified brand, see introductions and nominations. An introduction is not approval. Macy's makes the final decision.
