How to apply to Bloomingdale's Marketplace, step by step

Quick answer

To apply to Bloomingdale's Marketplace, submit the interest questionnaire on the Macy's Marketplace partner site. If Bloomingdale's merchant team selects your brand, you sign an agreement for agreed categories, set up a Mirakl seller account and a J.P. Morgan payments account, upload your catalog to Bloomingdale's templates, and go live as items are approved and in stock. Bloomingdale's makes every selection decision.

What are the steps to apply?

You apply on the shared partner site, and Bloomingdale's merchant team makes the selection. The steps below are the path.

  1. Check fit and requirements. Confirm your products fill a gap in Bloomingdale's assortment and that you meet the U.S. business, warehouse, and UPC requirements.
  2. Submit the interest questionnaire. Use the questionnaire on the Macy's Marketplace partner site, which covers both Macy's and Bloomingdale's. An Acenda introduction or nomination for qualified brands is another route to the same review.
  3. Merchant selection. Bloomingdale's merchant team reviews your brand. Acceptance on Macy's does not carry over.
  4. Sign the agreement. Selected brands sign an agreement covering the agreed categories.
  5. Set up your accounts. Create your Mirakl seller account and your J.P. Morgan payments account. You cannot go live until the payments account is in place.
  6. Build your catalog. Map products to Bloomingdale's category templates with retailer-standard color and size values, GS1 UPCs, distinct variants, and images linked directly to the file.
  7. Pass review and go live. Items go live once Bloomingdale's approves them and they have stock.

How long does it take?

Bloomingdale's does not publish a timeline. Catalog acceptance is usually the longest stage. Training and live support are part of onboarding.

Macy's publishes a minimum of 5–6 days for uploaded items to go live after the initial onboarding phase. Bloomingdale's does not publish its own figure. Do not borrow the Macy's number as a Bloomingdale's promise.

Can Acenda introduce my brand?

Acenda is an approved, pioneer partner of Bloomingdale's Marketplace and has been part of Bloomingdale's Marketplace since day one. Acenda can introduce or nominate qualified leads to almost any third-party marketplace. An introduction or nomination is not approval. Bloomingdale's makes the final decision.

What happens after approval?

Acenda maps the catalog to Bloomingdale's templates, prepares Bloomingdale's-specific images, and syncs stock, orders, and returns. Acenda does not approve the brand.
