Change a SKU safely with an alias

Learn why changing the SKU on a live listing is risky, and how to add channel aliases first so orders and inventory keep flowing.

What you'll learn

Changing the SKU on a live listing can stop orders importing and inventory updates reaching the listing
Add an alias for each channel on the item's Aliases tab first, with the exact SKU the channel uses
Then change the SKU on the Details tab; each item can have one alias per connection, and for many items use a SKU Presentation import
