Sell on Best Buy Marketplace

Quick answer

Best Buy Marketplace is Best Buy's third-party marketplace on BestBuy.com and the Best Buy app, launched in August 2025, where carefully selected sellers list products that complement Best Buy's own assortment. What is Best Buy Marketplace?

Best Buy announced its marketplace on January 16, 2025, and launched Best Buy Marketplace on BestBuy.com and the Best Buy app on August 19, 2025.

Product pages show "Sold by Best Buy" for Best Buy's own items and "Sold & shipped by [Seller name]" above Add to Cart for marketplace items. Marketplace items are available only online and in the Best Buy app.

When Best Buy launched the marketplace, it said the products complement what it already offers, from hard-to-find accessories to niche electronics and lifestyle products.

How do you become a Best Buy Marketplace seller?

Best Buy publishes four steps on its marketplace page. Sellers are carefully selected, and Best Buy publishes no approval or onboarding timeline.

  • Submit an application. The sign-up page is bestbuy.com/seller/signup.
  • Get approved, subject to terms and conditions.
  • Set up your store, with integration tools and dedicated account management.
  • Grow your brand, with marketing, pricing, and exposure support.

The same path, with preparation steps, is in how to apply to Best Buy Marketplace.

What does Best Buy look for in a marketplace seller?

Marketplace sellers manage their own shipping and product support, and Best Buy runs a rigorous monitoring process for marketplace sellers. Sellers answer buyer inquiries in Best Buy's seller portal.

Best Buy shares its detailed seller policies and terms during onboarding. Acenda does not publish those documents.

In Acenda's experience, sellers should have accurate, complete product data with standard identifiers, quality images, reliable inventory feeds, a dependable shipping and returns process, and the capacity to answer buyer inquiries before they apply.

Requirements can change; confirm current terms during onboarding. The readiness view is on Best Buy Marketplace requirements.

Can Acenda introduce or nominate your brand to Best Buy?

Acenda is an approved, pioneer partner of Best Buy Marketplace and has been part of Best Buy Marketplace since day one. With that comes the honor and responsibility of assisting with introductions and nominations for qualified brands. An introduction or nomination is not approval — Best Buy makes the final decision.

Acenda can introduce or nominate qualified leads to almost any third-party marketplace. Best Buy Marketplace is one example, as are Target Plus, Nordstrom Marketplace, Ulta Beauty Marketplace, Macy's Marketplace, Bloomingdale's Marketplace, and Kohl's. None of those names is the full list.

You still apply through Best Buy's seller application. See Best Buy Marketplace introductions and nominations.

What sells on Best Buy Marketplace?

When Best Buy launched its marketplace in August 2025, categories included seasonal décor, automotive tech, office and home, movies and music, licensed sports merchandise, small appliances, kitchen and cookware, floor care, furniture, musical instruments, toys and games, gaming accessories, and mobile accessories.

Those are examples from the launch, not a closed list. Best Buy said marketplace products complement what it already offers. Read Best Buy Marketplace categories before you choose what to propose.

How do shipping and returns work on Best Buy Marketplace?

Marketplace sellers manage their own shipping and product support. Best Buy monitors marketplace sellers, and you answer buyer inquiries in Best Buy's seller portal.

In the U.S., most marketplace items can be returned at a Best Buy store or shipped back to the seller. The standard return window is 15 days. Best Buy stores in Puerto Rico and Pacific Sales Kitchen & Home locations do not accept marketplace returns, and some large or bulky items can't be returned in store.

Rewards-based offers and Spend & Get offers apply to marketplace purchases. My Best Buy membership perks, such as shipping benefits and extended return windows, do not apply.

The U.S. detail is on Best Buy Marketplace fulfillment and returns. Canada has its own return process.

What are Best Buy Marketplace fees?

Best Buy Marketplace fees align with industry-standard marketplace commission and referral structures, with exact commercial terms set by Best Buy and confirmed during onboarding. Acenda's platform fee is separate (flat rate per channel, never a percentage of sales).

How is selling on Best Buy Canada different?

Best Buy Canada runs its own marketplace on BestBuy.ca, separate from Best Buy Marketplace in the U.S. It launched in 2016. BestBuy.ca describes marketplace sellers as top-rated sellers handpicked by its team.

Sellers need a Canadian return warehouse and may ship orders from Canada or the U.S. Quebec sales may require French-language product content.

Canada is not a setting on the U.S. marketplace. Read Sell on Best Buy Canada for the application, payouts, and seller tools.

How does Acenda connect you to Best Buy?

Acenda's connection covers the work below. It does not answer buyer inquiries, ship orders, or approve sellers.

  • Catalog. Acenda maps and validates your catalog to Best Buy's category requirements.
  • Inventory and product prices. Sync includes safety-stock buffers.
  • Orders. Best Buy orders route to your warehouse, 3PL, or fulfillment partner.
  • Cancellations, returns, and tracking. They are sent back to Best Buy.
  • Two countries. U.S. and Canada run as separate connections.

Acenda connects separately to Best Buy's U.S. and Canadian marketplaces, so each runs its own catalog and local-currency pricing, while orders, cancellations, returns, and tracking all flow through the same process on both. The operating detail is on what Acenda handles on Best Buy.

Is Best Buy Marketplace right for your brand?

Best Buy Marketplace is a fit when your products complement Best Buy's assortment and you can ship and support customers yourself. Best Buy approves every seller, and you operate shipping and product support under its monitoring.

There are three ways brands commonly sell with Best Buy. On the marketplace you list, set product prices, hold inventory, and ship. With vendor drop-ship, Best Buy lists and sells and you ship on its vendor terms, in the U.S. With wholesale, Best Buy buys and stocks your products.
