SAP integration with Acenda

Quick answer

Acenda connects SAP to the marketplaces and retailers you sell on, using Acenda's API, scheduled file imports, or X12 EDI. Our team configures which data moves in which direction during onboarding. As an advanced ERP, SAP carries a one-time integration fee.

How does SAP connect to Acenda?

SAP's ERP products include SAP S/4HANA and SAP Business One. Our team confirms the approach for your SAP system during scoping.

SAP connects to Acenda the way other outside systems do.

An outside system authenticates to Acenda's REST API with a Client ID and Client Secret using OAuth 2.0 client credentials. An Acenda admin creates that Client ID and Client Secret.

Recurring Import can read a CSV or XLSX file from an SFTP server your team controls, on a schedule from every 15 minutes up. It can update catalog, stock by warehouse, channel item mapping, SKU aliases, promotions, custom pricing, or tracking.

Acenda supports X12 EDI (version 4010) over direct SFTP or AS2, or through EDI networks such as SPS Commerce and Orderful. EDI setup is done together with your Acenda team.

Our team sets up the connection and the data flows with you during onboarding.

What moves between SAP and Acenda?

Stock counts, catalog updates, or pricing updates can come into Acenda from SAP when you turn those flows on.

Acenda sends inventory to each channel on that channel's own schedule, not the instant stock changes, and holds back any Inventory Floor you set.

In Acenda, an order becomes one or more Ship Advices: one for each warehouse that ships part of it. Each Ship Advice carries the instructions that warehouse needs. An outside system retrieves new Ship Advices, acknowledges each one once it has stored it, and sends tracking back. Tracking is the carrier, the tracking number, and the ship date.

Which flows you turn on is agreed during onboarding.

SAP and retail marketplaces

Connecting SAP lets you sell on the channels Acenda connects, including Target Plus, Walmart, Amazon. Listings, routing, and tracking for each channel stay in Acenda. See Explore all channels.

Connecting a system to Acenda doesn't affect whether a marketplace accepts your brand. Each retailer makes its own decision.
